Crawford McMillan Photography bio picture
  • Welcome to my website!

Hello and thanks for dropping by! My name is Graeme Crawford - my camera and I have been the best of buddies for over 10 years and I just love capturing special times, emotions and people. I will put you quickly at ease in front of the lens and use my unintrusive style just let you get on with enjoying yourself and loving being you, in whatever moment you're in.

I never underestimate or take for granted what a privilege it is to photograph a wedding. Capturing the pictures themselves is a great responsibility of course - my well-practiced skills and professional equipment take care of that part!

However your photographer plays a major role in your day in other ways than just the photographs. Planning with you beforehand, working with you when time is pressured on the big day and interacting with your family and friends all to make sure you get photographs that you want to treasure forever. These skills are a very important ingredient in creating wedding photographs which are not just snaps or moments in time, but little stores of emotion and memory which you will visit many times in the future.

Please take a scroll down and check out some of my work. If you would like to book me, ask me a question, or even just shoot the breeze about photography in general click the contact link above and get in touch.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Graeme

Portrait Beauty Shoot – Amy

Wedding of Phil and Sarah Jordan

Kirkland Family Location Shoot

This is a new type of shoot I’m excited to offer – rather than the white background stuff which is becoming a bit ubiquitous now I’ve drawn inspiration from my wedding portrait work to produce some location family portraits for that something a bit different and a lot more personal. Hope you enjoy this selection of my favourites of the lovely Kirklands.

Great with the natural scenery- far nicer than the white backgrounds. Love seeing pictures of families doing their family stuff – photographers of the future are definitely ‘on location’! Keep up the good work!

Wedding of Kaye McCall and Gavin Cavendish

A beautiful day out at Stubton and a beautiful wedding to more than match it. Kaye and Gavin clearly love each other very much and this shone through so much despite competition from the sunshine, the incredible military dress, the guard of honour, and even an amazing fly-past by a Spitfire!!

I hope you enjoy these photos, a small part of my record of an unforgettable day.

Spring Awakening – Loughborough Town Hall

You may remember earlier in the year I published some promo shots for this show. I remember the excitement of the young cast as they came together for the first time about to embark on this project, and now that the big week is here they can be very proud of the fantastic job that they’ve done. As I  ran around photographing their dress rehearsal on Tuesday I couldn’t help but be impressed by the emotional depth these guys manage to portray in their characters as they tell the story of the struggles of growing up and coming to terms with human sexuality. If you get a chance this week to go along and see this show then please do, you won’t be disappointed. Head here for more information on how to get tickets.
